One fine afternoon of 2008, during practice session, Mr. Ehsanul Haque Sumon from Jessore suddenly thought about the possibility of a Cricket Academy in his area. Instantly he shared his idea with his colleague Biplob and he also agreed with Mr. Sumon that it would be a great idea and also confirmed to work for the academy together. According to their thinking they started their journey to the establishment of their cricket academy. At first they started to find out a sponsor and then they got a good hand from Mr. Mahbub Ahmed Badol. Mr. Badol donated cash and also labor to stand beside the academy and named the academy as per his mother’s name- Achia cricket institute. At the beginning they had to keep their equipment in Mr. Azizul Haque Zillu’s Bandhan Departmental Store. To remove that lackage Mr. Badol came again with assistance. Then they managed a room from District Sports Association. At the beginning Achia Cricket Institute had to face a lot of issues and also many limitations like lack of field, good quality cricket equipment, economical problem etc. During that time, academy got a great support from its executive committee. The bright names can be said- Shiekh Ashrafur Rahman, Mahbub Ahmed Badol, Maruful Islam, Yakub Kabir, Dr. Showkat Haider, Dr. Yaseen Al-Amin Shuvro, Dr. Rashed Parvez, Akshad Siddque Shoibal, Masud Hasan Titu, Ajgar Ali Khan Titu, Rasel, Shaheedul Islam Swapan etc. These people has done a lot for the academy with their financial support. Now Achia Cricket Academy has joined with Clemon Sports and accordingly Achia cricket academy has got modern cricket gears and other cricket related support from Clemon Sports. Now the academy is fortified with Gym, Modern cricket equipment, wicket, net, bowling machine, video analysis etc. Academy students are also increasing in a good number every day. Training quality and capacity is also improving properly. Basically Mr. Ehsanul Haque Sumon is the main founder of this academy.
